C. RAYMOND (RAY) LINKLATER Suddenly at his home in St. Anne, MB on June 18, 2002, Ray Linklater passed away at the age of 72 years. He grew up and attended grade school in Cloverdale, completed high school in Selkirk, and went on to receive his teaching degree in Winnipeg. Ray taught school for many years before returning to university to study pharmacy. Upon retirement he spent the last 10 years in his new home in St. Anne. Ray enjoyed clogging, square and oldtime dancing. He also enjoyed a good game of cards and socializing with family and friends. He is survived by his brother Harold (Phylis) sisters, Louise (Bill) Dear, Sharon (Mervin) Russell; brother-in-law Elmer Sommer; and many nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Gladys; and his sister Eleanor Sommer. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, with Rev. Ted Hicks officiating. A viewing will be held one-half hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Cloverdale United Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cloverdale United Church. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
